Direct Automation employees have a combined 100+ years of experience in optimizing industrial plants spanning multiple industries. Direct Automation has optimized and automated DCS systems, PLC’s, SCADA systems, and more. Some of the industries Direct Automation has served are Ethanol, Water/Wastewater, Sugarbeet, Soybeans, Biodiesel, Oil & Gas, and Power. Direct Automation was built on the foundation of providing optimal solutions along with excellent service and support. Direct Data Management was created as an added solution to Direct Automation’s abilities. As a solutions-oriented organization, it was evident data management was an incredible need for the partners we were working with. Seeing a need, Direct Data Management was born. Direct Data Management focuses on mining, organizing, and making sense of data for our partnering organizations. We use data to help our clients to make better data-guided decisions. As Direct Companies continued to expand, the need for more IT services for clients continued to grow, so in 2023, Direct Companies purchased Workplace I.T. Management. Workplace I.T. Management is a managed IT services provider founded in 1997. It currently serves over 200 clients and works to reduce risks while helping businesses communicate, operate, and collaborate better by creating stable and secure technology platforms for small and medium businesses. Workplace I.T. Management provides all-inclusive management services and assumes responsibility for all day-to-day client IT operations. They offer a Direct-to-technician help desk, 24/7 systems monitoring, cloud hosting, and IT consulting.
With the acquisition of Workplace I.T. Management going well, Paul Zweifel, the founder of Direct Companies, thought of what he could do next to make his company the best all-in-one solution for his clients. This desire led Paul to create the newest Direct brand, Direct Design & Fabrication. This new company is a comprehensive automation, mechanical design, and fabrication services provider. Offering a blend of design, programming, electrical, and IT services, Direct Design & Fabrication was founded to simplify the complexities of automation and design, becoming a full-service integrator for their clients.
